Health Awareness at our church was born from a simple observation: we were praying faithfully for healing on Sunday, but many didn't have the information or access they needed during the week. So we began opening our doors for health-focused gatherings where body, mind, and spirit are all cared for together.
On Health Awareness days, the fellowship hall becomes a place of learning and encouragement. Local nurses, health educators, and community partners join us to offer informational sessions and screenings - blood pressure checks, glucose readings, nutrition tips, and more. You can ask questions in plain language without feeling rushed or judged. One brother discovered dangerously high blood pressure during a screening and was able to see a doctor before it became a crisis. A mother learned healthier options for her family's meals and came back months later to testify about new energy and weight loss.
These events don't just happen by accident. Our outreach event planning team works behind the scenes to coordinate dates, invite trusted professionals, and make sure resources are ready for every age group. Children might receive fun lessons about healthy snacks and exercise, while adults sit in on conversations about heart health, stress, or managing chronic conditions.
We believe caring for our bodies is part of honoring God, and we want no one to feel left out because of cost or fear. Health Awareness gatherings are open to members and neighbors alike, creating a safe bridge between spiritual care and practical wellness support. If you've been putting off a check-up or feel overwhelmed by health information, come sit, learn, and be encouraged. You'll leave not only with facts and screenings, but also with a praying community that wants to see you live long, strong, and well.
