Holiday Gift Outreach started, in part, with a little boy who quietly told one of our members, "I hope Santa knows our new address." His family had recently moved after a hard year, and they weren't sure there would be gifts at all. That Christmas, because the church family stepped in, there were toys under that tree and food on the table.
Each holiday season, we rally together to bring gifts and genuine cheer to children and families who are facing tough times. Members, friends, and partners adopt wish lists, donate toys, warm clothing, and gift cards, and help assemble festive baskets. The sanctuary and fellowship hall fill with wrapping paper, bows, and the sound of saints humming carols as they pack bags with love. But the real gift is not just what's in the box. It's the message that "you are seen, you are loved, and you are not forgotten." Parents who were worried about disappointing their children can exhale. Grandparents on fixed incomes find help in blessing their grandchildren. Children who might have felt overlooked experience the joy of unwrapping something chosen just for them.
Sometimes we deliver directly to homes; other times families come to a simple, joy-filled gathering where they receive gifts, share a meal, and hear a word of encouragement. In every case, we pray that each ribbon tied and each bag carried out the door will carry the love of Christ with it. If you or someone you know is in need during the holidays, or if you're looking for a meaningful way to give back, Holiday Gift Outreach is a beautiful place to connect. Together, we turn a season that can feel heavy for many into a reminder that light still shines in the darkness.
